Hello, if you look at my other post on the LaCie there is some info that I got from LaCie and some cd/dvd manfs. about the type of disc you need.
The burner won't be out untill mid March and as LaCie's web page says they are taking pre-orders.

Yes only certain media will work, TDK, HP (it's their drive in it), Verbatim and only the "+" R media since none of the companies are making any other media as of yet. This was from about 3 or 4 e-mails to different companies that were given to me by LaCie. Also the discs are of a gray scale "etched" quality when burned.
You will have to look for the Lightscribe logo on the side of the dvd/cd cake packs or what ever they pack them in.

I also have a 2007 MBP which had 2 upgrades from Tiger.
When I upgraded to an SSD, I saw that my Library folder was around 12gb in size and was not getting the full benefits of SSD which had been advertised. 2gb were for email database but I had no idea of other 10gb...
The best I found was to re-install and start afresh with new installs and just the apps I needed.
I used an application which copied folder names into a text file. I formatted the computer and picked and chose the applications I wanted to reinstall.
Used TimeMachine to copy My Documents folder back and done.
Just keep in mind I used Firefox sync which copied my bookmarks, history etc. (although Add-Ons had to be reinstalled).
Couldn't have been happier to just format it rather than messing around.
I also find this is the best way. I had to format my MacBook Pro yesterday because it wasn't shutting down properly (afterwards, I found out it was just one program causing the problem :mad:). Although it probably wasn't entirely necessary, my computer is now running better than when I bought it new around 12 months ago.

The more I think about it, the more it seems the DS was actually the "revolution" Nintendo was promising. It's pretty much the gaming platform right now, dominates sales charts on each continent etc... It was Nintendo's first steps towards bringing in the non-gamer, the Wii is more like the exclamation point to the DS's first sentence. The Wii really is just a console DS in so many ways. To sell almost 7 million units in the 5 months it has been out is incredible, especially given the lack of games, online play, HD etc. Looks like a console DS to me! It's like the NES or PS1 all over again.

from trying to google, i've found that an i7 920 folds the 6040 units around 12-14 minutes, depending on overclock! this macbook pro isn't far off!

I can understand not being able to sell until you have 250 posts. Not being able to buy however I don't understand. I don't even know how to tell how many posts I have on this forum. Never really thought I'd need to know...
For your post count, go to your profile. Right under the Buyer's Guide tab at the top of every page, there is a drop down Quick Links link. Second link from the bottom in the dropdown, Your Profile, then on the far right it shows your post count. Or click on your name in a forum post.

Piece by Piece is the second album from this Georgia-born singer. If you've never heard her music, you should definitely give her a listen. Her voice is so hauntingly beautiful and immaculate. I get goosebumps listening to her sing. Anyway, I just love her, so this avatar is dedicated for her.

When I initially installed Lion I was very impressed by the new features. Now, and after I have been using it for a week now, I not that impressed anymore. I think there is room for improvements:
* Launchpad: The idea is good but the implementation could be much better. You should make launchpad behave like a computer application and not like an iPad one! Right click should offer context menu to create new folders, rename and delete folders. Right clicking on an app should offer options to move it to an existing folder, or create a new one. Launchpad should also have the option not to run in full screen mode! In its current incarnation I am not going to be using it. I still prefer Spotlight for running apps. For organizing them I still prefer the apps folder on the dock.
* Full screen mode: A good idea that works very well if you have small screens or/and resolution. On my ACD I have so much space that for most apps, full screen mode is an overkill. I don't see me using it a lot. Maybe when Aperture gets it I will use it.
* Mission Control: This one I like. It combines spaces and expose very nice.
* Mail.app: The new layout is nice but I would like to see some new features regarding Exchange Server. More compatibility to Exchange would be nice. Support for Out of Office messages, categories and Exchange tasks are essential.
* Saving the state of apps: It does take a while to get used to the fact that the state of all apps is always being saved on exit. I would prefer to have the option (without using the Alt key) to not save the state of an app by default. There are situations you don't want to have an app resume its state. Imagine showing a video to someone. You close quicktime and then after a while you need quicktime again. You open it and the video resumes...Not very good!
* Finder: I prefer to have the devices on top on the left side of Finder and not on the bottom. There should be an option to change that.

Hi, I want to put some CD's that I purchased on my iTunes to put on my iPod. The only problem is that I am getting a new laptop soon, my BlackBook is dyeing.)))): Well, so far I have bought all my music on iTunes, but it's so expensive. I bought many CD's like I said, and I'm putting them on iTunes. When I plug the iPod into a new computer, it would ask me if I wanted to transfer my purchases. And everything that I bought would transfer. The songs that I got from other websites wouldn't transfer. But If I import the CD's through iTunes, will it still transfer to the new computer? Or do they have to be bought from iTunes?

Never hurts to drop off your resume to one of the store's managers. Ask for the "Store Leader" though as that is the main store manager and usually has the final say about the hiring.

In Lion, many found out that the first option (which you could select Blue or Graphite in SL) is greyed out.
If you want to know why it's greyed out, just hover your cursor over the menu. A tooltip will appear with all the necessary information...
* The world is very big and it's much likely someone else found out before me. But in weeks, I noticed no-one mentioned it. Even the video at the front page today doesn't mention it why. So... here it is..
** I'm writing this from my SL partition (Lion partition on external disk, and not here at the moment), so I don't know exactly what the tooltip exactly. If someone wants to post a screenshot of the tooltip, please? Thanks.

If you really want to see something wild, put some mosquito larvae in with it. Dragonfly nymphs are predators, and they'll take small invertebrates like other insect larvae (especially mosquito "wigglers"), or even small vertebrates like tadpoles. You might have to move the wigglers in front of the nymph, but if the nymph attacks, you're in for a shocker.

(thanks for pointing that out though) I can downsize it and sacrifice its quality to fit the attachments but I can't replace the current one with it - it won't look right.
You could attach a smaller image for the comp. and also have the larger image because it's so bloody good!!
