Let us see if we can get at least 200 people who vote on this. Many the great souls are talking about complaining to USCIS about EB1s getting GCs using shortcuts. Some of them suggested LET US write to ombudsman office and USCIS & blah blah. Let us see how many folks come forward and vote for this.

Early Sept. I finally got July 2nd filing receipt. I realized that my packet has traveled all the way to CA and then back again at NSC!! then last weekend Sept 15, I got an email notice that my case is back at NSC AFTER I have received a hard copy notice about the transfer...
It's a confusing process and I don't know which center is faster...

Dunno how good or bad it is and whether it sppeds up/delays my EAD processing. Anybody had experience with CSC and got any of EAD/AP/GC approved from CSC.

I worked for Everest Inc for the first six months in the US and I came through them. They were ok with me. Even though I left the company before 1 Year, they did not charge.
I am not sure whether we need to have a original 140. I never asked my employer and even they did not mention about that.

Nice to know that you started the process. Did you send the job transfer letter to USCIS along with H1B transfer or you just did H1b transfer (with plan to send the letter later).
In a way it�s nice that USCIS is tracking all applications together (H1B transfer, I140, I485 for a candidate). It atleast gives the confidence that they are tracking all together and may not get any RFE�s to give them copy of I140 or such.
Please share any updates.

H1B transfer was regular transfer but my new employer used the same job code as specified in labor.
My attorney, then send the AC21 with new employer offer letter to uscis.

as long as emplyer employee relatioship exists u r OK..
So if u can get a letter (if REF'ed upon) from ur employer(former) that u were on Leave/vacation or whatever, during that period....u should be fine.

We need a slogan that mentions H1B's contribution to Social Security. I have not been able to find an article that mentions it. There are lot articles that mention undocumented workers contribution in billions. Just imagine how much we must have contributed and NO ONE mentions it
also scan through the vivek wadhwa report and pick a few lines to use as slogans from it. we need it this long weekend. Franklin is working on collecting them and finalizing it. we are running short on good slogans

Why can't garbage be thrown in Walmart shopping plastic bags?
It doesn't make sense to harm environment even more by buying new things.In fact, there are new trash cans available whose upper mouth is designed to fit in shopping bags itself.
Regards photos-Let's say you save $20 by saving on photo. You can put this extra $20 in bank @rate of 5%. or you can spend it on extra dinner/movie.
Both options will still rejuvenate economy.
If you send saved $20 to India-Indian govt will be happy to reduce its oil import bill by $20, your family will use this $20 to buy a new Motorola cell phone/Nike shoes or eat dinner at MacDonalds.
Circle of Money never stops.

I travelled to India in December via Germany. I don't have a valid visa on my passport, but they allowed me to travel to India.
While coming back we have a valid US visa. I checked at Lufthansa counters in IAD airport and they said the transit visa is not required for immediate international flights.

Come on people - This is so easy to do - Simply cut and paste the letter below to http://www.WhiteHouse.gov/Contact at the very least.
"I am writing to inform you of how the country based quotas imposed on Employment Based green cards are unfair and totally illogical. I got my AP approved in approx 50 days. It was filed on 10/14/10 at NSC, mailed supporting documents within 7 days of filing it online and got approval yesterday(12/6/10) without any RFE.
