I filed on july 23rd got ead & AP but did not get FP. After reading this thread and seeing the patterns i think that if your application is processed by the center where it has to originally go then you get your FP quickly but in cases where your application went to original center and then that center sent to other centers for EAD and/or AP then their FP's is getting delayed, like my self.
I also have another problem. I changed address just after applying for I-485.I think FP is NOT dependent on PD's and or address change.
This is just my 2 cents.

I'm certain you cannot do that. While applying for H1B Visa, you can use experience in lieu of education, but while Perm/I140, they consider only 1 degree. Either its Masters or its Bachelors...even both of them are not considered as aggregates.
If your attorney is planning that way, he may not have handled such cases before... :eek:

I have entered all my details in the forum and send the same details to IV Virginia Chapter.
In other words i'm a fully registered member with IV Virginia state chapter.
If you have red my posting clearly, I wrote, I don't bother about RED's/Green's.
I was hurt for the using bad language by an IV member on a matured immigration forum.
You responded to my post having not read it properly. This is what is called interpretation issue with the language. This is what I wanted to convey.

I'm fighting on the BAD language usage on a forum. When are participants are matured enough what to write on

Because, till 2005 there were extra 100,000 (total 242,000 were issued) recapturd numbers available. Therefore, no one cared (DOS/USCIS) about AC21 law that removes country quota. EB2 were curren for all then.

I know before you start blaming me for this thread, as it is of no use, I would like to point out that most of you must be experiencing the same thing. I didn't care much for Visa bulletin until it became current for EB2 two weeks back. As the time progress, I am doing all sorts of things, like checking USCIS case status, and checking everything that can possibly give me some information. I know that it is waste of time, I know it is not good for health, I know that I will get GC when time comes, but still, my mind is tricking me to think about it. I checked all these forums until 2A.M last night. I am not having enough sleep. I am waiting for a opportunity to get rid of my desi employer. I am really getting frustrated (I am not saying that I have been waiting for GC approval desperately). I just want to share my frustration and what I have been going through. I know I am in a better position than most of other people whose priority date is not even current. I wish they never dangled a carrot in front of me. I am not sure if they disappoint me next month, but I am still keeping my hopes. Hopefully, I would get over this and have enough sleep from today.
(1) GC, (2) Career and (3) Life are three different things -
(1) Don't expect GC to in your mail box next week or in 6 months or in 12 months.
(2) You can not pursue your career to higher level because roles and responsibilities are tied to it, nothing can be done.
(3) Life is in your control, do ac21 and move on with your day to day life. (1) & (2) will fall into your hands someday.

This thread seems to express my thoughts.
I used to wait till my dates got current. With my dates being current since November, I still wait with no sign of improvement.
I tried calling the 1-800 number. But, did not get any useful information.
Took an Infopass appointment couple of weeks back. But, it was of no use.
The officer at the local office read the same status that I see online.
She said that my case was transfered to Texas center. (I knew this since October 2007). Only additional information she gave me was that my namecheck got clreared. (Though this is important, I dont think this really matters to get my case processed).
I told her that I have been waiting since years and some of friends who filed later than me already got their GCs, she felt sorry for me but she said there is nothing she can do for me. Not even a Service Request since my dates are within the processing times.
Its getting difficult for me......Also, in this economy its getting tough everyday to hold on to the job. Who knows may be this year quota might be over too. It will definitely be a big relief if we get the GC.
I thought there is nothing I can do now till my dates goes outside the processing times. Please advice.

Try Senator/congressman + Ombudsman inquiry now. If you do not get a response or nothing happens, contact me. Let us see what we can do for people who are current since a long time.

Hi, our first set of APs are expired and we never renewed since we did not plan to go out of the US. Now we need to apply for new AP, is it possible to apply online or since w eMUSt apply by mail since we don't have a valid AP at present.
Anybody in similar situation? Can somebody PM the cover letter to me?

We let our APs expire in April 2009. We applied for new AP (e-filed) in Oct. 2009 and got AP valid for 1 year (from Oct. 2009 to Oct. 2010 - the AP was approved in 22 days). When I applied for new AP online, I don't remember if it asked for previous AP details or not. I don't think it did - even if it did I would have given the valid dates of the expired AP.
Hope this helps.

If Ron were to look at the state dept. allocation for S. Korea in 2008, they got most of 7% in EB. The number was close to 25K.

As you can see I am EB2-I (info above) and am waiting in line for my turn but I am just wondering if L1 route to GC is quicker? If so then how?
Not that I am trying to do it because I can not :) but I know someone who just got his GC via L1 in matter of months and here we all EB guys are waiting..

I know people (Indian) who have applied for EB1 after being in L1 for a couple of years and got the GC in 6 months. There is a category for International Manager (or something similar) that qualifies them for EB1.
