Why did yuor wait so long to approve I1-40?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am a new member
My PD is 02/01/2005, my labour cert got approved in 03/01/2006,
I applied EB3 I40 on 05/18/2007 and got approved on 05/23/2007
Considering the scenario is my I140 invalid?

Guys,
It seems every few weeks this discussion of VB predictions come up. Now neither Ron Gotcher nor Murthy nor Matthew Oh (or for that matter even God i think ;) ) can predict what the USCIS cut off dates will be. What is the point in debating whether Ron Gotcher is right or wrong? This is the United States, there is freedom of speech and anyone can say anything especially if it is just a prediction. We can assume a million things here, as to what the VB date should be, but will it be that? No one except the USCIS/DOS can actually confirm that.

In case anybody noticed, the GREATEST friend of EB community, Senator Durbin is now the acting Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. In the absense of Sen. I checked with some of my colleagues and friends. They all have sent the letters, but most of them have not participated in this poll at the start. So I wouldnt get discouraged by smaller number of votes in it.

Because, till 2005 there were extra 100,000 (total 242,000 were issued) recapturd numbers available. Therefore, no one cared (DOS/USCIS) about AC21 law that removes country quota. EB2 were curren for all then.

Almost all holders of the CA have a 3 year BCom. We have had, as far as we know, 100% approvals showing the CA = US Masters with the proper documentation and a professor's expert opinion letter. Also with AMIETE.

I agree. No filing for 485 hence no Fee for USCIS. Also does this increase in fee mean in increase in effecieny :)

But you know what, to realize the increase in fees for the I-485, they should allow people to file for it. Unless people start filing for I-485's they are not going to make the $2billion in 2 yrs. If retrogression continues, guess the fee increase doesn't make much sense.... Not sure whether I am right or wrong here.

How was the response? I have contacted the following " The Hindu, Deccan chronicle and some telugu and kannada newspapers and TV news channels" so far no responses, I am planning to speak to my dad and his friends (they retired from the news media recently) to get some responses, but whats the point. The July 2nd fiasco was very well publicized in India, rural India too, even a small village or mandal office issuing birth certificates knew abt the visa bulletin and its reversal!!! and what do we have now...non committal friends who are not interested to come to the rally and some even make fun of it!!
