I dont mean to be greedy or selfish but from a purely technical analysis this is extremely bad news for EB2\Eb3 India and China folks. Eb4 and Eb5 account for 10% of the 140000 EB green cards every year. If EB4 and Eb5 were discontinued these visas would have spilled over into Eb1,2,3 category. With the Eb4 and Eb5 extension in the senate bill we are screwed royally. There is heavy misuse in the Eb4 category, so much so that it Eb4 and EB5 may retrogress for India!!!!, there will never be any spillover from this category.
What amazes me is congress has been consistently backing eb4 and eb5 every year by extending it but nobody cares about eb2 and eb3. Not even provisions like STEM are making it.
To people who say stem will not happen, visa recapture will not happen and only solution is CIR because hispanic caucus or anti immigrants will not allow piece meal immigration legislation, I wonder how EB4 and Eb5 are consistenly being passed every year by the congress.

I saw the notice on the website that my AP was approved but I haven't got even the approval notice yet, I thought It was strange. It was like that with you guys? Do they send the notice together with the card?

My EAD is going to expire in 3 months and I am filing for my renewal now. What can be done if you don't get the EAD renewal response before the expiry of the current one ?

Anybody knows more ?

EAD expiring on July 31st 2008.

It is a new EAD and not an extension of your old EAD. You can go online and e-file and there is no need for a lawyer. As you have all your GC details including your Alien #, it is very straight forward.

stock trading for yourself on your personal account is no issues... if you setup a corp and do it through that corp, then you need a secondary H1 B...

- Atleast last 6 paystubs
- All your previous H1B which shows you were always in status
- Current H1B if applicable
- Letter from HR of current company stating that you are a full time employee if applicable
- Copy of 485 receipt notice if available

- Copy of Labour if available

My priority date will become current on June 1st 2011. I will add my wife to green card process on June 1st 2011 (she is in US in H-4 status now). My I-485 is with Texas processing Center.
If I leave my sponsoring (green card) employer after 3-4 months of getting my green card and join another employer or have my own company, does it affect my wife's green card process assuming it takes 6-7 months for her to get her green card.

Really tragic, I noticed the cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation, they found a plastic bag around his head ?, that totally seems suspicious to me, an IITian will have a tons of job offers in India, so if finances were his problem that is ruled out, love problems ?, sad to see a 23 year old kid pass away like this.

Can someone here on this forum list down all the documents that are required to file 140 and 485. Or if this has been discussed in a thread can you please point me to the right forum?
Are you sure you want to do it on your own? If it was that easy, everybody would do it. Considering all the potential pitfalls, it just puzzles me why somebody would go for such a process on their own.
What are you trying to achieve? Save some bucks or show that you are smarter than other people? Even to save a lot of bucks, I don't see how I would do it without a reputed attorney.

Man you are in such a good position . I think with an approved I-140 in EB3 for Sep 2001 PD your GC should not be far away .. Don't mess around with it by changing it to EB2 or things like that. It might get complicated . I would say have patience for a few months . Once you get your GC you are free.
Using AC21 is not a bad idea for those whose GC is a distant dream but for you I think the goal is within sight.
Actually, it's better to change job before you get a GC because you suppose to have intention to work for GC-sponsoring company after you get GC.

I was reading one of the old postings mentioning someone's wife wanting to move from H1 to EAD and a new baby. I am in the same situation and donot know anything pertaining to legal requirement of working specific requirements working with sponsoring employer for specific numbers of hours to keep the EAD status on.
- Currently I (primary) am on H1B working 30 hrs per week as a full-timer. I want to step down to EAD status and just work may be 10 hrs per week or weeks as floater.
- What are the legal hassles am I looking for GC processing if I only work few miniumu hrs on EAD for the sponsor.
- Possibly can I work 2 part-time jobs at same position with diff. employer on EAD? Will USCIS have trouble with me at the time of EAD renewal.

Funny, I was just in my local camera shop last weekend and brought up the idea of upgrading my D70 to the new D80. The guy in the shop said there really wouldn't be much in the way of noticeable differences in what I have now and mentioned the D200 would be the better way to go, the list of reasons right now escapes me but I thought I'd just pass that info on.
