Throughout the attempts to lay blame on parents, there is a bogus assumption that the 15 minute password time extension is obvious and/or that parental restriction ability is known or easy to use.
Millions of people buy the iPhone because it's supposed to be "intuitive" and NOT require reading a manual or spending time researching every Settings menu. (Just look at all the fanboys claiming Android is "harder" because it has more options.)
Not only are in-app restrictions buried in Settings where it's not quick to get to, but worse: in typical Apple iOS fashion there's no way to set a purchase option per app... it's only a global setting.
Since Apple is quick to refund such mistaken in-app purchases, even they have tacitly acknowledged that there is a problem.
So it's likely that a change will be made. If you were an Apple developer given the task to fix the problem, what would you do?

It was helpful to have a shortcut into their Mac development team. I tried to deal with the German support team - which I think is the same that also handles the Windows crowd - and I got the impression that Office for Mac issues are just a tiny blob on their screens.
I got them so far as to acknowledge that they can reproduce the bug in PowerPoint. However they then told me that they can not get through to the people in the US and that even if they could the developers would not listen to them anyway - go figure...

Kingdonk, thanks a million for the screenshots. Any idea what version of Samba they have included? That has been a big headache for me with Snow Leopard ever since win7 came out. Cannot bind win7 to the domain because apple are running an old version of samba.
If you could figure out the samba version that would be awesome, if it is still and old version then I am going to have to either move to Linux or buy a Windows server license for our win7 machines.

It's like the extreme right wing has invaded this board. I'd expect at least one defense of government regulations here.
Don't get me wrong man, your entitled to your own opinion and I respect that, but in what way is it extreme to expect parents to be responsible for their children's actions and not extreme to have government step in and do the job that we're supposed to do ourselves? It amazes me how people, especially the younger generations, have been conditioned to believe that common sense, self reliance, and personal responsibility are far right or extreme thoughts. In my Fathers day that was the norm. Exactly when did we replace reason with trained responses and personal responsibility with government control?

(Side note: Having listened to it for the first time on this flight, I really appreciate airlines that put the air traffic control traffic on one of the audio channels. It was neat -- and somewhat comforting -- to know exactly what my pilot was doing up there.)United is the ONLY airline that does this.

Yes there are 140 things on that list out of the 500. Out of those 140 a lot of them are BS things, petty things that really don't matter or things he really doesn't have to do such as encourage things.

i doubt apple with update the MB soon, there just wouldnt be enough distinguishing the MB from the MBP if they both got C2D at the same time, mostl ikely it will be like the mini, it will get a small speed bump.

My friend keeps taunting me with his Core 2 Duo based HP notbook. Even "Xtreme Notebooks" has a Core 2 Duo model.

...it worked reliably from my Mac Mini (2010) to my iPad 2 without saying "you are not authorized to play this video" every other time, I would care.
Work perfect with both my appletv 2 and my Zeppelin Air and except for a stutter here or there for a second or two I have found the technology easy to use and stable. :) Over burden wifi.
I love to see more of this technology implemented, my nice ipad 1;) has apple lossless albums in it and the music coming out sound great. It still just wifi but been able to streem music to anywhere in the house by hooking up an apple airport is also nice.
Airport with bose speakers upstairs kitchen area :) would not have been possible or as easy as it was before airplay.
So apple go for it make our lives easier to enjoy.:D
Now if only apple made itunes run as a service I be double happy.

I have a 500 GB Hybrid with a bootcamp partition of 32GB, if I use CCC will it move the BootCamp? If not no biggie for me to recreate anyway.

Many of our iDevice owners around the world are still awaiting the ability to rent ANY video via iTunes, much less to be able to rent it and then sling it to an airplay-enabled TV.

Also, oopsie hardware releases aside, how would a "supposedly" early software build of iOS5 end up in the prototype phone of some guy in South East Asia? Hardware production is outsourced to Asia, yes, but software would be held pretty damn closely. Maybe I'm wrong?

I would say it still wouldn't work, as the OS X RAID implementation is software RAID. Hence, OS X has to boot to get the RAID array working.
In the case of RAID 1 if it did work it might break the mirror (no big deal).
Give it a shot. Worse case it won't work; shouldn't affect your data at all.
