By no problem, do you mean that you feel no difference between 10.6 an 10.7?
Well the cursor is not as fast as in Windows, but it's managable.



I don't notice a difference between 10.6 and 10.7 as far as tracking speed, but I don't do much gaming and mouse speed is not an issue for me.
I don't use Windows on this Mac, so I am not sure about the speed in between Mac/Windows.

Syphon Filter is a really good action game, plenty of things to keep you busy. Not sure about MGS : Portable Ops because they STILL haven't released it in the UK, but it looks amazing and has reviews to back it, so that might be a worthwhile purchase.

I've recently noticed- some iLife apps are not working. The biggest concern is iPhoto - I've opened up iPhoto '11 (iLife 11) but it says:

However, and here's the catch - iDVD, iMovie, working. Just a couple apps are not working (I can't check every single one for compatibility). Is this a universal problem? How do I fix it? I have iLife '10 and '09 if that helps but I haven't checked if they work. Either way, I would like to use iLife '11 over either older versions... Thanks!
So I'm not seeing a problem here. Are you saying when you click software update nothing happens? What exactly is the problem?
I'm running 9.1.2 with no problems.

Open the Console.app in the Utilities folder. Bring up the context menu on each log listed on the left hand side and hit Reveal in Finder. It is perfectly safe to delete them all. Yes those logs will get MASSIVE. Afterward you should empty the Trash.

Likewise, I'm nearing the end of Zelda and looking for something else to try. I've had a look at the Wii selections and haven't found much to tempt me.

I was really hoping the Wii would induce some original games, but by and large it seems to be attracting ports from other consoles with scaled down graphics and the control system tacked on.

but without shift key it boots normally?

you may want to let it get to the happy mac icon, then hold down shift

yeah the happy mac thats what i see no matter when i push the shift key

I honestly havnen't had good luck with the mac clients. I LOVE the GPU clients on regular PC's. There is just so much more PPD available with a GPU client.

It's the white MacBook Apple has been selling for the past 2 years. By Apple's description, it's a "white unibody" MacBook. The current white MacBook design is very different from the previous polycarbonate MacBook design.

Besides what everyone else has said, you can also lower the transmission power so that it covers a small area around the express base station.
That and bieng a hidden network should work.

Periods shouldn`t be inside of paranthese (unless it`s a compete sentence), so you might not want to do that...

Thanks for the advice. I did open my 60gb and it feels great to be able to fit everything on it again and backup my full-size photos. I didn't necessarily want a video-iPod but I thought they may just update battery life, functions, design, etc. Here's to at least a few months of no iPod updates since I just bought a new one :)

I got

Connection Error: Could not connect to MySQL instance at localhost. Error: Unknown system variable 'sql_mode' (code 1193)

You'd think they'd actually TEST IT before releasing to the public. I've used Navicat with great success (gotta love that scheduler; though it deletes everything else in cron), CocoaMySQL is good, too, though needs an update.

It's possible that their MySQL Administrator ONLY works with their version of MySQL for Mac OSX. I'm using the original from Mac OS X Server, though don't know what the differences would be.

Really, you'd think they'd test it first. Really.
