Hello all,
A few days ago I started a thread where laid off folks can post their qualifications and people who know of job openings can let them know.
Unfortunately, yesterday I received an email saying that an RFE was raised about my 485. My PD is Sept 2005 in EB3. WTH is my case being processed now? I saw in some other threads also that people with further off PDs are getting RFEs. Can someone shed some light on what the RFE may be about?
I used AC21 earlier last year after completing 180 days of filing 485 and got a new H1 approved. My 140 is approved and my previous employer has not revoked it. They only revoked the H1 and that too about 7 months ago. My new (now ex) employer hasnt revoked my H1 yet.
How long does it take for the RFE to come? I suppose it will goto my old company's lawyer though they are nice folks and will let me know.

Guys we need to see the staff of 4 people. Congresswoman Zoe Logfen, Senator John Cornyn , Senator Arlen Specter and Senator Gillibrand. I have spoken to the offices of 2 of these Lawmakers, and they have always shown the understanding of this issue. as you may know recently elected NY Senator Gillibrand mentioned about 'some country people waiting for 8 years', this tells her understanding of the situation.
I have 4 people sent me emails, It would be good if we can make a group of about 20 people...It'll also help if people of these 4 states come forward...
also please suggest on conferencing facilitie..

But right now, democratic majority is very pissed off from Senator Cornyn. And anything Senator Cornyn sponsors/cosponsors will never get done in this Congress. Watch the news about Senator Cornyn carefully, and you will know what I am saying. Stay away from him, and if he says he will sponsor anything for us, request him not to, if you want to get anything done.
And BTW, the folks you are listing have already supported our provisions in the past, other than the incoming Senator Gillibrand. The important thing is to get the support of the Democratic leadership. Without leadership support, it won't anywhere.

It is anticipated that the addition of unused FY-2005 Family numbers and the remaining AC21 numbers to the 140,000 annual minimum will result in an FY-2006 annual Employment limit of 152,000. This will mean an Employment per-country limit for FY-2006 of approximately 10,650.
To illustrate the effect of the reduced per-county limitation during FY-2006 on the oversubscribed countries, it should be noted that during FY-2005 India used approximately 47,175 Employment numbers.
If you plug this number into your analysis the result might be a couple of years of advance for your predictions.

The original intent of country caps was to prevent one single country from monopolizing the immigration (but this was regular unskilled immigration like family based immigration etc). But when it comes to skill based immigration it is ridiculous to maintain country caps. Everybody including the US government, USCIS and industry know that country caps in skilled category are ridiculous. That is why in H1B they don�t enforce the country caps. Because if they enforce the country caps in H1b the whole H1 program will collapse. I know the difference between h1 and green cards but when you bring people into US on H1 without country caps they should not enforce country caps on H1 to green cards skilled category. The people who are oppose immigration are using this(the country cap or rather quota) as an excuse to make things worse for immigrantion.

There is no doubt the employer letter is required.
The only question is:
1) is it safer to wait for RN and then submit this letter as evidence quoting the A# assigned, OR
2) is it a better idea to submit a new I-485 rightaway along with the letter, OR
3) should such people just wait hoping they will receive an RFE (I don't like this one at all) whenever the case is opened?

GMAT score alone is not the criteria but they are a bit liberal on the online version. Your recommendations matter and your experience, essay and previous education credentials matter too. I am not sure about the cut-off for KD but I started part-time and converted to KD when I moved out of Indiana. My GMAT score was either 620 or 630, which I thought was on the lower end of the curve. I started my M.B.A a year before I got married and found it much easier to manage my time then. But these days my wife keeps complaining that I spend way too much time studying rather then with her. Managing with kids is going to be even more tough but definitely not unmanageable. I have colleagues, in my M.B.A program who are married with 2-3 young kids, who have said that I made the right move by trying to complete my M.B.A before having kids.
My intent is to just let you know that it won't be a cake-walk but then online will allow you lot more flexibility and time than regular or part-time M.B.A. You do not need to worry about attending classes and getting struck in traffic, assuming you could find a good school close by.

I made it very clear even in past. I am more rational kinda guy. I want to know where my money is spent at high level - no details. I know its against IV policy. So I admire what IV is doing, I appreciate donor only forum but not contributing yet. May be I am wrong being too hard to be convinced. I will think over.
n.b.: Yes, I do follow all action items including calling and faxing. I think everybody does this so needless to mention.

instead write long letters to USCIS like IV suggested ! thats the place to vent.
