I disagree with the first part of your statement. There are no guarantees in life. But, giving unsolicited advice especially without knowing what happened in their marital life is no good. Only he and his spouse would know what happened and it is completely up to them to decide what is good for them. He has clearly told in his post that he has given his best and it is at a point of no return. Only people who go thru this grueling experience can understand how hard it is.

There is a HUGE difference between being TOLERATED and BEING LIKED.
I am sure you have the intelligence to see the difference.
You can "tolerate" someone you don't like, but you can not "welcome" someone whom you don't like. I for one, donlt want to be in the "tolerated" category.
And may I ask, what exactly is your definition of hostility? Being chased down the street by a bunch of thugs, who think you should be in their country, or the kind of passive hostility being practised as of now?
You are free to go back to your home land if you feel like you are not welcomed here.

Problem with not including filing fee is you do not get the receipt or receipt number, Hence difficult to track.
Customer service opened SR and sent to local office. Got letter from DHS (3 weeks back)that they researched case and are actively processing it, also if I dont get any correspondence with in 180 days contact them.
Till date I did not get any letter saying that case has opened. Will it help if I take Infopass and go to local office. Please advice.

Eb3I may nudge forward a little bit. Sadly that won't be very helpful to most folks on this board. Visa recapture is the only thing that can help near term. In the interim, administrative fixes, rule clarifications, USCIS efficiencies in application processings, Data transparency, though not glamorous victories as say visa recapture. Nonetheless make the path somewhat more comfortable and predictable.
EB3ROW may move also.
The movement of EB2I will be quite revealing for me. If there is quarterly spillover(which under current rules should be the case) then we might see some forward movement or at the very minimum the dates should stay put. However if there is no quarterly spillover, then with the approvals in EB2 recently, they will be hard pressed not to move dates backward somewhat.

As DOS has posted the NVC backlog numbers as on November 1, 2009, if the core team look at it and update the analysis. This data is not categorized via month but still may be helpful in prediction.

this is absurd, why would wire transferring money have immigration officer visit the candidate, if they dont want to give us GCs then most people will continue to transfer money.
I was just curious to know and the reason why I asked was, if you read all the posts on this thread, one person (sheela) had a similar 'house visit' by an ICE agent...who was asking questions mostly on wire transfers...so, was trying to see if there was any similarity in both the cases?

I have access to a lot of "extra" stuff, as you can tell from the blog. It has been a long and tiring fight, but someone has to do it.
RonHira did a pretty accurate transcript. The funniest part was the way Donna was talking to the folks there. It seemed very much like the way a PreSchool teacher talks to her class. She was speaking slowly, repeating stuff multiple times, adding extra emphasis on phrases (like "talking point") and repeating them. Then someone would suggest something and she will go "That is a perfect post", and then he/she will try to say something, and Donna would go "No No, what you said first was perfect, don't deviate".
I was feeling bad for the Antis.

Did you get a notice from CSC saying they are transferring your I-485 to NSC? If so, when was it?

Not only that, USCIS or any other govt. agency can make rules and make them effective retroactively. In other words, they can come up with a final rule in July 2008 and can say that this rule is effective July 2005.
That is why, I call GC a game where if your opponent feels that he is losing, he can change the rule of the game on the fly.
It looks like USCIS can make any new laws or change rules of game anytime. They live by their will.
