Any means of sending this would be helpful. Lets make it as easy as possible for people. For now - lets see if we can get over a 1000 people to do this.
Ideally in addition to posting your letter on www.WhiteHouse.gov/Contact, it would help if you send a letter to your Senators office as well.
Instead of sending emails, wouldn't it be better to send USPS mail or faxes?

Based on what Sheela wrote looks like it is related with lot of money transfer. I am thinking that is true because of the name 'Immigration and Customs Enforcement'. If it is related with just immigration then I don't think Customs Enforcement will come into picture. bujjigade123, did you do lot money movement from US-India-US? Why did they visit your employer 2 months back? Do you know what they asked your employer?

No, only allows people on H4 for more than 6 years to get a H1B of their own for 6 years or until their spouses EAD/GC's arrive.
When you say 'no'...did you answer my question (If someone has already spent 6 years on H1B can he/she convert to H4 status?).

Dear friends:
As the Past President of a PMI Chapter (PMP for the past 10 years and working in the field of Project management for the past 15 years) let me shed some light to this query.
Reasons why you should do PMP
1) If you believe you need a promotion, new job or rise the corporate ladder within the field of IT or management, take PMP.....Billing rate of PM's is $90-150/hr for consulting, full time could be from $100K-$250K. The next generation CIO's will be highly qualified PM's.
2) Job security for PMP's. The only job that will not be outsourced to India or China is that of a project manager.
3) PMP will help you get the project manager job, if you do not have one. However, become a Project Manager only if you like working with people. Trust me, if you hate politics and hate managing people, it is better for you to stay a techie. Your life will be miserable if you do not like managing people. Do something that you enjoy, rather than what you may hate. It is all about people and people management, rather than project management in the world of PMP's
4) PMP has become mandatory for all large gigs or projects. Small projects do not need PMP's and small projects do not pay well too.
5) PMP does not make you a better project manager. But PMP is needed by the industry. It is the experience that one gets from being on the field from different industries that makes one a good project manager.
I hope this should help some of you to make a decision to be a PMP or not.

Completely baseless and irresponsible statement from Mr. Gotcher!!!
He contradicts his own statements:
"If these statements are true, then the end of the current mess is in sight.
If the CIS really has wiped out its processing backlog, then when the "pre-adjudicated" cases are given visa numbers in the next fiscal year, cutoff dates should advance rapidly. At a minimum, we should see them return to February 2007 levels, if not closer."
CONTRADICTS:
" EB2 China and India: Outlook is "grim" and there may be further retrogressions until later in the fiscal year."
On what basis he thinks that EB3 India will have PD in 2001 but EB2 India will further retrogress (currently it is stuck in 1999):
"EB2 China and India: Outlook is "grim" and there may be further retrogressions until later in the fiscal year.
EB3 India: November 1, 2001"
AND THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS REMARK IS FOR CIR: Look at this:
"Of course, all of this becomes academic if CIR is passed. In that case, all priority dates will become "current" overnight and remain that way for years."
Yeah...right...this is same Mr. Gotcher who predicted that "if you do "consular processing" you will get your GC very soon as USCIS does not process cases"....Look what happened...
First of all he mentioned that 500k app in 2007 and then USCIS used 280k in 07 and 08. so 220k remaining. Dont forget that they opened gate till 2006 where so many people who got their labor cleared from backlog centers in 2007 ( Sep , after july 2007 thing ) applied.
So I would say out of 500k it didnot reduce 2 years but only 1 year ... so total left are 360k - 140k ( 2009 ) = 220k remaining. Now that they have pre adjucted 110k so 110k left. If they stop accepting new app for next 2 years then they can clear all mess in 2 years but law prevent them to do so...... so end of mess for ROW contries is near ( with improved USCIS process )... but for India out look is grim as law prevent india to get more than 3k if there is more demand from ROW and Eb4 and Eb5.
also If CIR passes and they add recapture then it will make dates current becasue those visa go on oldest app first. ( God knows who is oldest here ) but given that india has lot more app pending in back those recapture can clean lots of indian backlog while new supply keep going to ROW countries.
To me the bottom line is " VISA RECAPTURE " either law suit way or congress through.............. other than pack ur bag and head to wards home.... ( specially people like us who didnot file AOS and very tough to be on h1b after 6th year is over ) ..

By the way your interpretation quoted below is exactly what numbersUSA used to claim that there is no visa available for recapture. And they used that argument to shoot down our recapture bill.
Knowing that PD's aren't going to move forward drastically, we need to start working towards some thing drastic like a bill/amendment. Or we can sit and mull over it and wait until the second week of Aug (when Sep bulletin is announced) to show our frustration.
If your argument is correct, there won't be any need for recapture laws that we all are working for. If the unused can be given to the next year, no visa will get wasted. USCIS/DOS can just give the unused in family category to Employment category in the following year and vice versa.

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

My wife's EAD card was delayed beyond 90 days. I called USCIS 3 times and they did the service request, but told us we would have to wait 45 more days. At the 96 day mark, I quickly filled out requests for my senators office to get involved and they helped out. EAD was in mail the next week.

I am also in somewhat same situation. So thought of sharing it in this thread.
I am also single and filed 485 in July 485. My PD is Dec 2006 under eb2. At present the EB2 dates are June 2006. I am carefuly waching the dates every month to pull back my application if my Eb2 dates becomes current to my PD date.
But this question often hunts me...
1. If USCICS apprvoes my 485 by mistake while my PD date is not current, can I let them know about it and get the 485 approval cancelled or is it irreversibale...??
2. HOw long does it take to notify USICS to withdraw my 485...??
