Hey gang. Are we planning anything? I've been hearing various claims, such as: "They aren't releasing it until 5 pm"
I just spoke to a rep and he told me to check the Apple Store website the day before.
Hopefully, it will be available when the doors open, which means lining up at 6 am.
Who's in?

So, as the time passes, and the more I see about the iPhone, I really, really want one. I have a unlocked T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl that I would like to trade for an iPhone. I know I will obviously have to add cash, but if anyone is interested, send me a PM.
If not, I would be interested in a straight sale. Let me know..
Thanks!

DDC is a derivative of I2C and Macs have a I2C bus. The motion sensor is connected to the I2C bus, for example.

Really gang?
Spend 20 seconds looking at MacRumors forums and you'll find dozens valueless, off-topics posts that don't get deleted. Please don't hide behind that.
Ha ha. I think I just got accused of being trollish for pointing out something that Arn says ought to be disclosed anyway. This is rich.
If it weren't for valueless, off-topic, trollish quotes, Arn would still be practicing medicine.

Count me in! I'm still thinking about what Apple store to head to though, I usually try to avoid the Fashion Valley one because it's always so crowded there. I'll probably end up a Fashion though. I'll be in line by 3 or 4 depending on how long the line is. :)
64GB 3G iPad here I come.
I would highly recommend going to the Apple store in Eastlake/Otay Ranch. It's a bit of a drive East if you live downtown, but the Fashion Valley is pure madness.

They did this one. If you look at some of the other things at the site, it asks you for a password. There's sections for Motorola, IBM and Intel, but there's either nothing there or it's password protection. :(

(I have heard that "to the discriminating and experienced eye - not my eye! - is quite easy to determine the brand name used just by looking at the picture" !!!)
Nope, light is light- direction and intensity are the key issues, nothing to do with brand.
Brand may get you reliability and safety, but that's about it.
You can spend a lot more time on which modifiers to use than which brand of equipment to get. The basic "pack & head" or "mono" setup is the real major decision point, though newer cool continuous lighting is starting to rear its head (but really the price/power ratio isn't quite there yet.)
The best advice I can give you is to buy a system that has enough adjustability to work for you. My first lights were very powerful, but had basically three settings, which for a small studio space wasn't enough to be able to get the shots I wanted without either moving the lights back too far (they then become point sources and the light is harsh, not soft) or scrimming the heck out of them to diffuse the light.
With pack & head systems, there's one central power pack, and each light head cables back to that. With monoblocs, each light has its own power supply- so you choose cables all back to one source plugged into one outlet, or power cords all to a power strip, battery pack or individual outlets (good for places where you're worried about tripping a single circuit breaker.)
Obviously, with pack and head systems, the signal to each head is cable-based, where mono lights generally use optical triggers. You have to purchase radio triggers for monos if you need to shoot where other flash may interfere or in bright daylight. At least in the past, most pack systems had a place for an optical trigger at the pack.
Not having stores isn't an issue- Paul C. Buff (White Lightening and Alien Bees) don't even do retail sales, and he's got a full 50% of the strobe market- as much as every other company out there combined.

I agree getting to know CSS is the best way to go. And Wordpress widgets are just a nightmare.
This site is really good for teaching all about CSS and loads of other stuff actually. Very simple does it in small steps to get you going.

Hope it helps

I thought Undo may have fixed (strait away) it but that does something evem more bizarre.
If you replace one folder with another of the same name then "Undo" the finder undo's alright, but deletes the file you wrote over, leaving you with only the one copy of the folder.
So it's only really half undone???
