seriosly no Vancouver thread yet ?
So what will it be?
Apple store vs Best buy or Futureshop ?
I want to go to the Apple store in Pacific centre but am afraid that I won't stand a chance unless I started lining up in the wee hours of morning
I like the best buy line/ticket system (and I am guessing futureshop will have something similar as well? They did for boxing day)
so where are you guys going?

Hi guys, wanted to see what people's thoughts are on the iPad 2 Launch in Solihull and if anyone had any news or info.
Far as I'm concerned I'll be there, from previous launches people turned up and queued around 5.30/6 in the morning, from info I got from Touchwood security, on 25th they will be opening the Poplar Entrance (near John Lewis) before any other door due to the problems with too many open at the same time, which in turn caused too much chaos at previous launches.car park queuers will be led to the back of the main entrance line to keep order so personally would be just easier to walk round to secure your space and avoid disappointment.
As normal touchwood don't tend to give much away so I was lucky to get any info at all but it sounded fairly well thoughtout to stop any apple madness happening.
If your going, good luck and share any info as I have and we can all hopefully enjoy a nice new iPad 2 come Friday.

I second that. And my car.
Snow and ice together...Last night ride was a fun ride (once I got at my parents' place), though terrible (when I was behind the wheel) :)
Had to get a snow type truck to get me out of the snow, or that'd have been a stuck-in-the-snow-in-my-car type of Xmas eve.

I would you want AT&T to put this Orwellian rule into effect? At least tell me you're a shareholder...

Very helpful, indeed.
I can't help you with this, sadly. Perhaps take it to an apple store?
It's jailbroken. Its a bug. Bringing it to a store in this state could potentially void his warranty. You are very helpful, indeed.

30'' would suck... the resolution just wouldnt be there. Just for example: Samsung makes a 30'' LCD TV that can be used as a computer monitor, but its max resolution is 1024x768. A 30'' with good resolution would cost a frickin fortune... 10 thousand or more

To hype an already overhyped and WAY overrated site? That's gotta be the point of the trailer. :rolleyes:

I would love a backlit keyboard. As long as the batteries would be able to last 1 month I'm happy. I use rechargeable batteries so it wouldn't really be a huge issue.

I'd say this is deserving of a Darwin Award

I don't care what they change so long as it's user-replaceable, and until then, I will continue to recommend against them to customers. As it stands, it's barely technician-replaceable, as the rubber bottom normally gets torn in opening the thing.

I have purchased OWC memory as well as other hardware for years. I had a failure of a memory module that was replaced under their lifetime warranty without any hassle. They even replaced the other module in the same bank just to ensure that there would be zero problems.
I have total confidence in both their products and their warranty support. Something that is becoming rare today from most retailers. Another plus is that they have better prices as well.

AOL charged my friend double for 5 months. they just billed him twice for each month on one bill and wouldn't admit their mistake. he threatened them with the BBB and lawyers and they refunded him.

can run tiny umbrella on an ipad 2. I tried to save shsh blobs and nothing happens. I did this on my iphoen last month and it worked fine
Get the latest version of TinyUmbrella. It needs to be updated each time a new firmware is released.

The keys are "available today" and then, unless the nearest store is just around the corner, you should probably call the store you intend to pick it up at, as sometimes shipments don't arrive until a little later in the day.
I would think that, if it is available today, most stores will have them available by the time the keynote ends or shortly thereafter.

I just tried both suggestions... still works fine on PC's IE & Firefox and Mac's Safari, but not Mac's IE or Firefox. I have been googling and get nothing but crap. Any other suggestions?
My current code:
<object height="1" width="1">
<embed src="mysongname.mp3" autostart="true" hidden="true" loop="true" />
</object>
Hmmm...
