im planning on going to southgate, you think if i got there around 7 i would walkout with an iphone? are lines usually big in edmonton? im just here for holidays and thought i should get a new iphone 4. i know in toronto the store is downtown has pretty big lineups. so i was just wondering do lots of people usually line up here?

Hey guys, sorry if this question is asked often.
I have an iPod Touch 4G that I had jailbroken on 4.2.1, but I messed with some system files that I shouldn't have messed with and I had to restore and update to 4.3. Is there anyway I can downgrade to 4.2.1 so I can jailbreak again?
You can but its very complicated you must have your 4.2.1 file saved

Well yea you're on a Mac forum so you're going to get a lot of Mac replies... which IMO is all you need ;)
But seriously... if you want extreme portability a MBA will do great... the 13 inch ones are slim and have amazing battery life; if you're willing to get the 1.4/1.6ghz dual core instead of a 2.x one (dual), then you should be set. They all have the glass trackpad which is great as well.
Like I posted before though, I would suggest a MBP. They are still very portable and small in size compared to other laptops and have a performance (and build) increase compared to the regular, polycarbonate Macs.
What are you planning on doing with your computer? Where are you taking it? These things would help us out a lot :)

One suggestion: open the known-working Xcode 3 project in Xcode 4. Build it. Make sure it works.
If it works, then use it as a known-good reference to check the non-working project.
If it doesn't work, then figure out why it works in Xcode 3 but not in 4. It may be an Xcode problem, or it may be a faulty assumption in the project that just happens to work in 3 but not in 4.

It wouldn't be so bad if their core content was good once you got through the garbage. But their rumors have always been iffy, and as edesignuk says, the gallery has always been slower than watching the grass grow. Maybe they'll take all this ad revenue and buy a newer server. I've got a PM 9500 I'm not using - I'll bet its 200MHz 604e would be a huge upgrade over their current Quadra 650. (Oh wait, maybe they're still using that IIcx they got at the yard sale last year)

AppCleaner will uninstall every part of a program, including the oddball things that don't get uninstalled when you drag it to the trash. And it's free.

I have just come across the mac mini server. I want it!!! But not sure it can replace my current set up.
In my garage, i have a Dell 390 workstation with 4 TB of space. I manily use this to keep all my movies, music, and media on. I stream my movies from it via shared drives to my WD TV Live box. Which i love... I use programs like, Vuse / Handbrake actually they are the most common apps i use. Eventually id like to be able to back up my external drives from my imac to the server.
Just wondering if the mac mini server could replace that. As the Dell is power hungry, large and just plain ugly. But it does have 4TB worth of space.
Could the mac mini replace this setup, and if so how?

if it's the dual HD server, then you won't get a built in DVD drive.
Personally if you want to keep power down, i'd invest in something like a qnap TS410 NAS. It'll take 4 drives, up to 8TB and will allow you to protect the data by using RAID 1,5 or 6. You can plug your existing external drives into it. It has built in mac/win/ftp sharing, upnp, itunes sharing, iphone access and will draw less than 40 watts at peak usage. Then use your dell for ripping dvd's. I'm assuming it's a hackintosh if you are running handbrake?

Never had a portable before....Personally, I love using a desktop much more than a laptop but it is convenient, which is part of the reason why I didn't need/want power in a portable.
From what you say, I think you would be fine w/ an iBook rather than a PB.
