One thing that makes up for the lack of DDR on the QuickSilver (Feb 2002) is the 2Mb cache per chip compaired to the 1Mb on the new models.
By the sounds of it I'd say ur better off going with the Feb 2002 Quicksilver with all those extras. :)

As a Powerbook G4 User, VPC was all of unusable, really slow. I know that it has (had ?) to emulate an entire Hardware platform, but knowing how much bloatware M$ produce, I am sure it could have been a hell of a lot faster if it was coded better. This makes perfect sense. It's actually a very elegant solution. Expect to see it integrated into Aperature as well.
More and more cameras (and photographers) are getting into this GPS metadata thing. I've started to see GPS units that mount onto a camera's hotshoe and sync up to the photos with a cable.
It's great that someone thought of scripting a button that inputs that metadata into an online map system. It's a simple script for sure. Still, it save me from having to copy and paste coordinates into Google Maps.
I wouldn't count on this having anything to do with a new apple product. It looks like it is just an added function, increasing the user experience. That's the kind of thinking that makes OS X the great operating system we all know and love.:D

Will this RAM work in the above mentioned MINI? I want to take it to at least 2gb. Not sure if its worth it to go to 3gb. Can i install this 2gb module and leave one of the 512mb in as well?

Whether it was meant seriously or jokingly, I think the comment was out of line. The folks who do the jailbreaks use and give their skills and time without any real desire for reward. After reading similar and even worse comments across multiple forums, I'm surprised the jailbreakers even continue their work.
It's grown into something for too many that's an expected entitlement through near demand instead of something that's eagerly awaited through patience.

I was in 6th Grade at the time, and one of the teachers motioned my teacher over to them. She came back with a grim face and told everyone that a plane had just hit the World Trade Center. At the time, I was uncertain about what the World Trade Center was, or what was happening. She continued on with the lesson, while all the other classes were watching TV (that bitch). Anyway, my mom checked me out of school a couple of hours later and I went home to turn on the the television. I couldn't believe what was happening. At first I didn't understand it, but years later I knew exactly what had happened.

1) I would like the processor to be a little bit faster. Some apps that I run, are just a "bit" laggy.
2) I would also like 256 gig SSD. I actually think I need about 200 gig.
3) I would also like a bit more physical screen size.

If by "a bit more physical screen size" you meant a bigger display, you have just described the 13" MBA, 1.86GHz with 256GB SSD and 4GB of RAM, $1699 ($1799 with a 2.13GHz processor).

I never really understood resolution independence. Can someone explain it in layman's terms?
Say you have 2 laptops with the same size screen, but different resolution screens, e.g. 17" LCD, one with 1920x1024 and another with 1440x768.
Right now the Apple menu and the text on it will appear smaller on the higher resolution screen, because the pixels are smaller and the size of the menu bar is defined in pixels.
On the resolution independant system the size of the menu bar (and everything else) will be the same, regardless of the size of pixels. So the menu bar will be 1/4 inch high instead of 25 pixels.

If they don't keep FaceTime open to non-iOS mobile devices and non-OS X devices, FaceTime will be dead in the water if it isn't already.
Exactly what I am saying. Even Apple has to eventually realize that their products are only any good if you can use them to connect with others. I mean... how many people do you know that use FaceTime by now? Oh, your friends got Android? Bummer. It's fine for Apple to use it to push their market share for some time, but in the end you have to come out the shell to become valuable in reality.
