The closest apple store to my town (population 48k) is over a hour away - we have two radio shacks. How is this low? an elitist much? This is great! - Ipad 2's are the same price everywhere, except AAFES where its $10 cheaper and tax free. - Now many people can save their hard earned money as gas approaches $4 a gallon under this administration. Besides some people have radio shack credit cards -and earn rewards. They may prefer to buy from there.

They appear to be bundling in the AppleCare. Cant buy without it.

Your not paying a premium for the color, you get 8GB. What sucks is you can't get 8GB in colors, lame move on Apple's part with no reason behind it.

Folks diss'ed the higher costs for a black MacBook, but they sold in huge quantities. Obviously folks were willing to pay for the color.

Can you add movies to your library that are already on your HD?
I choose file > add to library and selected a bunch of AVI files and it just did nothing.

According to Yahoo they've been upgraded in regards to CPU (obviously), RAM and HD... so pretty much the same as the MBP's two weeks ago.

you know this isn't real, right? This is one of those BS stories that Apple begins to spread internally to see where the leaks are...to test their employees. I'm sure it was only told to a few people in the organization to see where they were coming from.
I highly doubt you're going to see a 3D iPad any time soon.

In Apple's case, the developer in question is Atheros, a company that devises drivers for a number of different wireless cards, each designed with drivers specific to the operating systems on which they will be used.

OS X ships with lots of default drivers for third party hardware, external wireless cards too, I'd imagine, and those could be the one we're talking about here.

Now I'm two updates behind on my iPhone, because I'm still waiting for the 4.3 Jailbreak. Oh well. Nothing too important in this update. I also won't be updating my iPad, because the jailbreak for 4.3 hasn't been released yet either.

I am definitely not shelling out $250 odd dollars for WINDOWS VISTA!
I am probably going to need Vista on my MBP. I certainly don't want to pay that ammount of money for it, but I'll probably have to deal with it.
I'll actually know what I'll need and what I don't need once I get the MBP. Maybe I'll be lucky and the need for Vista will be eradicated as time goes by.

The things you mention here are exactly the things i've seen too. To be honest, it frustrates me to see men behave like that. They should send those guys to boot cam, to let them get back some of their balls.
Men who are in control of women just don't have balls. I think things are going the opposite way. Like women are in revenge for the years they've been in control of men. ANYTHING against women has become social unacceptable, but i think things are going a bit too far now. But hmm, it's probably just a 'trend'...:)

My wife and I are both alive and well, we only just got electricity back about an hour or so ago. Worst 4 days of our lives, but we got off lucky. Others lost everything, including themselves.
It's a MBP on wireless internet. When it hit, I was hunkered in the interior bathroom with it, the cell phone, a flashlight and two very upset cats.

I haven't been around for a release past Snow Leopard so I'm not sure what to expect.
Past upgrades have been very reasonable. Unlike Microsoft that depends on the price to help pay for development, Apple's hardware helps subsidize the OS development. So, it's assumed it will be a very reasonable upgrade price.

^^ Not that the above arguments with said spouse can ever be won, but try pointing out to her that the amount of money she spends on hair appointments in just a few months would probably cover the cost of an iPad. If that doesn't work, then total up all the miscellaneous receipts that come from places like Walgreens, CVS, etc. If that doesn't work, remind her that you spent tons of money on her when you were dating ... money that she didn't have to spend on herself. When all that doesn't work, continue playing with your iPhone, as you sleep on the sofa.

Finally the truth. I know because I've been using 3G phones since the first day AT&T rolled them out. Call quality was immediately improved as was data transfer speeds. The various phones sold in those years all demonstrated the distinct advantage.
Apple and their biased partners in the blogosphere are the masters of spin.
Don't get me wrong I'm a huge Apple enthusiast, but I'm a bigger supporter of the truth.
Hopefully when the day arrives that Jobs moves on, integrity, ethics and truth will be allowed back into the organization.
