With regards to this particular ad, should we presume from your comment that you are not an engineer, a doctor, a business person, a teacher, a student, a parent or a child? All these folks love their iPads.None of the above.

Motorola already has iTunes on the SLVR (only 100 songs, but with a removeable mini sandisk chip you can switch anytime you like!)
I'm betting that motorola was smart enough to hold the market for iTunes on phones for at least a year.
MBP - updated either before holidays or nothing until santa rosa
iWork/iLife, of course.
OS X 10.5- hopefully, but i would'nt be surprised/dissapointed if not

i believe this will be the big announcement - but i believe as far as hardware releases go, not a lot... this will be mainly for software updates/releases.

I really like the tone of these commercials.

3.7" is the most appropriate phone size imo. I use htc trophy 7 which is 3.8" and it's just a bit bigger. 3.5" is a bit small though.
Anything greater than 3.8" is a giant screen. Can't imagine using one of those.
I think the iPhone needs a bigger screen, and to lose that border would be nice

17" iMac 2.0Ghz ordered 20 minutes ago.
A check off box at check-out enrolls me in Apple recycling program.
The $101 iMac discount becomes $93 in California because of a state imposed extra tax for new computer monitor purchases. $ goes to local dumps to help pay for the processing of dumped computer gear.
monitor 4-14.9" $6 (MacBook)
monitor 15-34.9" $8 (everything else)
monitor >35" $10 (future iMacs?)

Gun's are dangerous and it's perfectly reasonable for pediatricians to talk with and inform parents about those risks and how to mitigate them. You'd be amazed HOW LITTLE some people know about raising kids

I can see how this update will have "battery life improvements" now that the phone is not going to be tracking our movements 24/7 even when all location services are shut off.

How do you know he doesn't? Back then, he wasn't a CEO responsible for a company's success and having to answer to board members and shareholders. He has other responsibilities. I love how famous people get every little detail of their lives held up as a an "a ha!" kind of thing for every move they make. The stuff he did when he was younger is sort of not relevant anymore, is it?

You're exactly right. To me, the refusal to license FairPlay is the single most puzzling thing about Apple right now. With one move, they could have potentially hundreds of content providers wrapped around their finger in the same way MS had so many PC vendors wrapped around theirs in the past two decades. They could lock down the market for many, many years if they did it right. (BTW, I don't advocate that kind of thing, but they could do it and most companies would jump at the chance.) The iTunes music store would probably disappear or gradually fade away but then, Apple doesn't make the bulk of their money off that anyway and perhaps the FairPlay licensing money would cover that loss. Think of the iPod with hundreds of licensed content providers out there trying to outdo each other. I can't imagine why Apple hasn't done it yet.

Not only are they always wrong, their rumors don't even make sense. AMD doesn't have a competitive notebook CPU and can't deliver in the scale Apple needs. These guys can't even fabricate a decent lie.

Apple did not have a version of OS X running in it's labs. Intel has had every version running on their chips since the early 1990s when they first entered into discussions about using Intel chips. Intel some of the best software programmers in the world, wrt making an OS work on Intel chips. Apple got the OS X port from Intel to speed up the process of introducing the chips.
