How long is it taking for y'alls ipads to update? The bar on the ipad has been stuck very close to the end for the past hour?! This is my second attempt to update to 4.3.1 and still gets stuck at the same spot?!! I would let it go but my ipad restored completely and is now making me update to the new ios. Weird?

Wow "late 2009" was soooo long ago. I barely remember what the world back then.
Point being: it's a great product, the only one that can have a huge drive. I am seriously considering one since I can't fit the music & podcasts I want on my iPhone plus have enough room left over for recording videos and taking pictures.

I've got a bad feeling about this.
Anyone else think that this may be a reference to the rumored ulta-portable design that is essentially a thin clinet, wiht all of the apps/storage handleed over the internet with dotmac/google apps.
It would boil the new machine down to a large iphone with a keyboard. While such an approach is OK for the BB or iPhone, I would hate to have it on a laptop.
The other expanations are for more pallatable.

A crap camera will never take a great picture, despite the hands it is in. It might take something vaguely enigmatic on some level, but with bad lens, inability to capture colors, or faulty mechanics/electronic, it will be nothing more than a crippling piece of equipment.
A good photographer can frame, layer, focus the subject, and compose well. Yes, you don't need a "good" camera for those qualities, but you need a well-creafted camera to back up and improve on the photographer's skills.
Sorry to say, but your are mistaken. People have been taking phenomenal photos without the cameras sold today. Cameras of yesterday were not as accurate nor precise as they are today, yet incredible photos have been taken for quite some time. How is that?

You know what, Steve never said Apple would NEVER do a video iPod. What he said was that video just didn't make sense at the time. For one thing, he said that there was practically zero demand from iPod users for video. Then he qualified his statement by saying that the situation might be different in the future, but the media being what it is, his comment was reduced to the overly simplistic (but easy to report), "APPLE WILL NEVER MAKE A VIDEO IPOD."
He didn't really say that either.

People with a Zune or any other player for that matter won't be able to download Beetles songs legally.
Yeah they will. iTunes works on any Windows or Mac system. They can listen to it on their computer, burn a CD, or even rip that CD back into a format that any player can play, with a minimal quality loss. Besides, anything that discourages consumers from buying a Zune is probably good for consumers :) .

Fine. Jailbreak your phone. Of course, technically, that will void the warranty, but so would running diesel in your car if the manufacturer calls for unleaded. You might cause some damage but you can't blame Apple/the car company for that. So if/when the processor or battery heats up too much and bricks your iphone, don't go whining to apple. And when all your personal info gets hacked because of some malicious code that flash was able to run... And even when your web pages load at a snail's pace, don't blame apple. Blame Adobe Flash. Like you said, you bought your iPhone, run what you want. Just don't expect apple to fix it when it all goes wrong.

I will have to call Apple. My serial number is within the range and it says it is invalid.
Dang this is, I just bought a new battery to replace the one Apple will now replace for free. I guess I can try and return it for something else after it gets here. I don't really like having two batteries.
